Forum user Showstoper provides us with very interesting analysis of takedowns by, and against, Fedor Emelianenko. This material shows how little the quality of Tim Sylvia’s sprawl matters in this matchup as Fedor has a total of 2 leg based takedowns in his career. This fight is going to the mat, the only question in my opinion is if Tim will be able to claim top possition in the same way HMC did. Armbars come from both the top and the bottom though, so I guess we’ll see if that even matters on July 19th.
